About the activities in the calendar:

For your convenience we have included three types of activities (Events) in the calendar. Each includes an indicator in the name and has a specific associated icon that designates the type of event. The following describes each type of event and how to identify them. Example icons for each type of event are displayed here.

Ranch-Sponsored Events – these are events that are sponsored and managed by FXR ranch management. Required ranch staffing to insure the success of the event has been planned, along with materials, logistics, etc. These events will now start to be noted with a capital R in parenthesis after the event title on the calendar. Example: Movie and Popcorn Night (R).

Partner-Sponsored Events – These are events that one or more partner are organizing and opening up to any partners who would like to attend. Ranch management is NOT responsible for the success or failure of the event, but has placed the items on the ranch calendar to facilitate partners being able to take advantage of the many activities during the ranch season. In general, a sponsoring partner’s name will be required to place an event on the calendar, although there are some reasonable exceptions, such as “Happy Hour Sundays,” which by their nature are somewhat ad-hoc. Example: Blue Bird House Building Workshop (P). These events are only visible to registered users of the website.

Community Events – These are events that are taking place in the community around the ranch that the general public is invited to attend. Ranch management is not responsible for the success or failure of the event but has placed the items on the ranch calendar to facilitate partners being able to take advantage of the many activities during the ranch season. Basically ranch management is passing the information given along to the FXR partnership via the ranch calendar. Many times there is a website address where the viewer can get more information, and that link will be included in the info placed on the ranch calendar. Example: Wheatland Supercross and Fireworks (C).

Board Meetings – These meetings are also incorporated into the event calendar, but are only visible to FXR shareholders who have registered on the website. They are designated by the heading "Meeting" instead of "Event". The details on each also has the Gavel icon designator.

About using the calendar:

To view the detail of some part of the calendar, click on a day, the month name or the arrows next to the month name to view either a month back or ahead. Note: days in bold have at least one event.

This will open the requested detail view with the events displayed in the calendar. From here you can click on the name of an event to see the event in greater detail. You can also use the two drop-down filters to show only the selected event types in the calendar. The first drop-down filters the events by associated terms: Permissions, Sponsor, or Tags. The second drop-down filters the events by type: Event, Meeting, or Ride.

You may also change the display from Calendar to Table or List views.

Finally, there is a small, red calendar icon in the bottom right of the calendar that allows you to download the calendar in a form that you can import into Microsoft Outlook or other calendar management software for use when you are not online.
